About Me 
 
I have been doing genealogy for over ten years, primarily in West Central Ohio and the Miami Valley.   I have also done research in other Ohio counties and seventeen other states.  
I also research hidden Native American ancestry.  That is those ancestors who were believed to have been Native American but did not go to reservations and hid who they were by claiming to be white, black, or mulatto.  I have done research on the Shawnees, Cherokees, Chickamauga, and Melungeons, mainly in Ohio. 
I started by doing my own family history and as a genealogy volunteer at the Delphos Public Library and Allen County, Ohio Historical Society.  In December, 2007, I completed the National Genealogy Society's American Genealogy: A Home Study Course.  Currently, I am a grader for this course and am working towards certification by the Board for Certification of Genealogists.
